How a brain injury support group can help

With a traumatic brain injury, recovery never ends. It is an ongoing process, sometimes with setbacks, sometimes victories. Having people to talk to who understand can be really helpful in recovery and coping with the challenges of everyday life.

There are support groups in cities, towns and some in rural areas. If you can't travel to a group, there are online support forums that can help, including Facebook groups. If you can't meet with a group that is led by a trained facilitator, reaching out to fellow survivors online for support can help you to share experiences and feel connected.

We have listed many links to TBI support group information for the United States. It is not a complete list, and updates will be ongoing.

Please remember! Before you travel to a support group meeting, confirm with the group on the day, time and location.
